"Avengers: Age of Ultron" Trailer Chills to the Bone
After being scheduled to drop after ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Tuesday, October 28, "Hydra" leaked the International trailer early, forcing Marvel to release the trailer a week early (though I smell a little bit of counterintelligence at play here).
So here we are, True Believers, our first real look at Ultron, voiced with menace and flair by James Spader, and we get glimpses of fanboy fantasies come to life: namely Hulkbuster Iron Man armor, taking on the Hulk! Is it Tony Stark in the suit, or is Ultron controlling it? We see Ultron, looking awfully Stark-esque at the beginning, finishing off an Iron Man suit and calling the Avengers "puppets, tangled in strings," followed by scenes of Tony Stark lamenting "the end of the road I started us down," shots of Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olson) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), and scenes of destruction, before a pile of broken, beaten Avengers (including Cap's iconic shield, snapped in half), all the while Ultron lecturing the heroes that humanity is the Earth's biggest problem. Finally, chillingly, Ultron says "there are no strings on me."
This block of superhero awesomeness hits theaters May 1, 2015.
