It's 1960s England and the British government does not love rock and roll. With all laws practically forbidding such music to be played on the airwaves, a group of rebellious DJs take the music to the sea, setting sail just off the shores of the country far enough out into the North Atlantic bringing the music to the people and making their mark in history. Starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Kenneth Branagh and Bill Nighy.

The Defendor
Some super heroes have fancy costumes complete with technical gadgetry. Real super heroes tape a bit 'D' ont heir chest. Arthur Poppington (Woody Harrelson) could be any average construction worker. He holds the signs and works against the clock. But when the day is done, Poppington is The Defendor fighting against his sworn enemy Captain Industry. As he safeguards the streets, he finds himself as a true hero, fighting for the weak and protecting them from evildoers.

Charlie Thurber (Luke Wilson) is a college professor who enjoys teaching his students but could do without all the occupational expectations, such as publishing papers and smooth talking politicians. When it comes time for tenure, Thurber decides to give it his best, doing what he can to prove he deserves it. But he's up against an attractive adversary (Gretchen Mol).
