Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel star in this story about love that is not, by any means a love story. Tom (Gordon-Levitt) is a greeting card writer who still believes in true love and possibility when he meets Summer (Deschanel) who embodies everything he's ever dreamed of. And life begins, on Day 1. Director Marc Webb's film is a fresh take on the standard romantic comedy, with a story that is endearing and even enchanting, a lot like the two lead actors themselves.
Rated PG-13
In South Africa's District 9, where aliens have been relatively quarantined from the rest of the world as the human race debates their future and their place in the world, time has run out. The aliens are under privatized care with little concern for their well being. One man, with a strange virus that is changing his DNA seems to be the answer to many questions regarding key information to alien makeup. So begins a hunt where the only safe place seems to be District 9.
