Machete (Danny Trejo), a legendary renegade of the Mexican Federales and a ruthless, fearless vigilante, had all but abandoned his life as a trained killer after a violent meeting with a drug lord. Working as a day laborer in Texas, Machete finds himself back in the world of kill or be killed when he is hired for a covert operation that is embroiled in betrayal and the hunted becomes the hunter.

Tim (Paul Rudd) hopes to impress his coworkers and his boss when he brings Barry (Steve Carell) to an exclusive dinner. The premise of the dinner? Tim hosts a monthly dinner for idiots, where the goal is to bring the biggest idiot to the dinner for exclusive bragging rights. Unable to resist, Tim goes against his fiancee's wishes and participates in the dinner after meeting Barry, who may just be more of a problem for Tim than he thought possible.
