Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale lead a heavy-hitting cast in the story of Mickey Ward. A talented boxer, Mickey and his trainer/half-brother, Dick Eklund (Bale, who won an Oscar for his performance), had more than a bond of brotherhood earned on the streets of their hometown in Lowell, Massachusetts. They were a team. But while Mickey pursues his dream of becoming a championship fighter, Dick struggles with his own troubles. Also starring Amy Adams and, in another of the film's Oscar-winning performances, Melissa Leo.
