Mel Gibson is Thomas Craven, a homicide detective with the Boston Police Department who is no stranger to enemies. But when he finds his daughter brutally murdered on the front steps of his own home, he discovers a world filled with enemies, deception and corruption. A tortured father, as Craven digs deeper into the circumstances of his daughter's death he finds a life he never thought could be connected to his daughter.
