"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" Poster released; Trailer next week

Fox has released a four-posters featuring apes from "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," the sequel to the surprise 2011 hit "Rise of the Planet of the Apes." You can view the posters below.

Recall in "Rise," the apes achieved sentience and intelligence just as a virus started crippling humanity, presumably leading the way for the apes to take over. These posters, featuring Caesar and other ape characters wearing face paint, hint at the coming war between the apes and humanity.

"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" was also recently given a new release date of July 11, 2014, with the first trailer hitting the Internet Wednesday, December 18. "Dawn" is directed by Matt Reeves ("Let Me In") and stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smith-Mcphee, Enrique Muriciano, and Kirk Acevedo. "Rise" star James Franco is not returning for the sequel.
