Eddie Redmayne wants to be a woman in 'The Danish Girl'

In "The Danish Girl," Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne plays another person who made history, Lili Elbe. Lili was born a boy in 1882. But eventually she wants to be a woman and is one of the first people to get a sex change operation (which happened in the roaring '20s).

Alicia Vikander co-stars as Lili's wife, Gerda, and Tom Hooper ("The King's Speech") directs.

"The Danish Girl" comes to theaters in New York and Los Angeles on November 27, and will come to more cities in December
