Emily Blunt might be the next Mary Poppins.

She is working on a deal as we speak.

As we previously reported, Disney is making a second Mary Poppins movie.

The new movie will take place in London during the Great Depression. It will also get its material from the rest of the stories in P.L. Travers’ classic series.

The filmmakers are working with Travers’ beneficiaries and have already gotten the thumbs up from one of the guys who made the music for the original Poppins movie, Richard Sherman.

Rob Marshall will put on his director's cap for the movie.

If all goes well, this will be the second time Rob and Emily will collaborate.

The first time was when "Into the Woods" was made.
