Finally...a "Fantastic Four" trailer. Guess what? It doesn't suck.
The long-awaited "Fantastic Four" trailer finally hit the Interwebs, and guess what? It doesn't look like a complete disaster. We see most of the principles, except for Toby Kebbel's Dr. Doom, whom we seem to hear in voiceover.
The irony of all ironies is that after months of hating on it based on wild speculation, out-of-context comments and assorted other silliness, we are going to get the same enraged fanboys who have been slamming the movie claiming the teaser doesn't show us enough to make a decision on the quality of the movie.
Here is what we know so far:
The cosmic space rays have turned into some other sort of experiment that leads to a powers-granting accident.
The film is full of muted colors, and yes, it gives the FF something of a more serious tone.
We see The Thing breaking out of some sort of rock pile, then later see him from behind, and he looks just fine.
Human Torch is still black. I wonder if he liked to work on cars in the comics because we see that here, too. If not, add that to the list of complaints.
For those freaking over the suits, Nerdist reports that the costumes are something Reed Richards designs early in the movie, and by the end of the film they have something more closely resembling their classic costumes.
The Internet media is trolling everyone to capitalize on the hate for this movie. Quit being sheep, fanboys.
Anyway, check out the trailer below. Josh Trank's "Fantastic Four" stretches into theaters Aug. 7. 2015.
