Horror icon Wes Craven is no longer with us

A sad day for horror movie lovers everywhere: Horror Icon Wes Craven is no longer with us, having lost his battle with brain cancer at 76 years of age.

As the director of "Scream" and the creator / director of the "Nightmare on Elm Street" franchise, Craven gave the horror genre two of its most iconic characters in Freddy Krueger and Ghostface.

Thanks for all the screams and nightmares.
