The Judge (Blu-ray + DVD + Ultraviolet) Details: 2014, Warner Home Video Rated: R, language, sexual references The lowdown: Despite a strong cast headed by Robert Downey Jr. and Best Supporting Actor Oscar nominee Robert Duvall, “The Judge” is a hodgepodge of courtroom dramatics and familial dysfunction, neatly wrapped in a conventional feature. Technical aspects: Blu-ray: 1080p high definition, 2.40:1 (16x9 enhanced) widescreen picture; English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and French and Spanish 5.1 Dolby Digital; English SDH, French and Spanish subtitles; DVD: 2.40:1 (16x9 enhanced) widescreen picture; English, French and Spanish 5.1 Dolby Digital; English SDH, French and Spanish subtitles. Webb’s stories alarm the CIA and government officials, and a smear campaign to destroy Webb’s credibility is launched. Technical aspects: Widescreen picture; Japanese 5.1 Dolby Digital surround; English subtitles. Don’t miss: A featurette and a short film are the major extras.
