Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension Trailer will spook you!
I'll say it: I have been a fan of the "Paranormal Activity" series. As lo-fi found footage horror, I especially found the first two appropriately atmospheric, creepy, and spooky, with some good scares, if a more or less predictable outcome and pattern to it.
Subsequent films began falling back into formula a bit too much, and complicating things by delving too far into the spirit's and the family's, past, taking the series from funhouse carnival to overproduced (and overexplained) silliness involving witches, children, and cults.
Having said that, the most recent sequel, "Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension," adds a legitimately new wrinkle to things involving mysterious video tapes from the 80s that adds a bit of mystique to the whole thing.
Will it be any good? History says its doubtful given the sheer number of films at this point, and more complex additions to the mythos aren't going to do the franchise any favors, but I'm willing to give this a chance.
