'Star Wars: Episode VIII' shooting started today

Not so long ago in a galaxy far far away, "Star Wars: Episode VIII" started shooting today!

John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, and Mark Hamil have already shot some scenes.

Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran are becoming a part of the Star Wars Universe for this movie.

Rian Johnson is putting on his director's cap for Episode VIII.

Carrie Fisher is also stepping back into the role of Princess Leia for Episode 8 and a lot of newer faces from "The Force Awakens" are stepping back into their roles as well.

Episode VIII will be playing at a theater near you on December 15, 2017.
