"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" Rocks the Internet
Amidst rumors that the trailer for the new "Star Wars" movie would be playing only in select cities and theaters, Fox unleashed the trailer on Black Friday, and while it gives us only small glimpses at the plot, we get some awesome teasers. There is a bit of a darker edge, with a man in what appears to be Stormtrooper armor fleeing someone (or thing) in the desert), more Stormtroopers in a transport carrier, and some rockin' suborbital (and even planetside) X-Wing flights.
The real treats, though, are what appears to be a Sith rocking a signature red lightsaber with two smaller lightsaber blades making a sort of hilt handle, then some crazy, whirling camerawork as the Millenium Falcon flies through a desert dogfighting TIE fighters to the iconic triumphant "Star Wars" fanfare.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens December 15, 2015.
