Testosterporn
The Film Yap Lexicon is comprised of terminology for certain cinematic phenomena that occur often enough to form discernible patterns — typically events or circumstances that are patently ludicrous to customs of narrative or known science and, on occasion, the result of misguided choices by filmmakers. Although these terms could take their name from numerous films, they are principally derived from the prime examples of this phenomena.
Testosterporn
A subgenre of action films that are unabashedly violent, gory and full of machismo with virtually no other subtext or reason for existing other than to display these traits. Sylvester Stallone has by 2012 reaffiirmed himself as the world's foremost purveyor of Testosterporn with "Rambo" and "The Expendables" films.
Typically these films are an offshoot of the ultraviolent, machismo-heavy films that Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and others made in the 1980s (or, as is the case with "Rambo," is a direct sequel), but uses modern gore effects for a heightened level of ultraviolence that was merely parodied in the 80s. These films also use the wry humor model to defuse the discomfort that severed limbs and decapitations via bullets may cause.
