'Judgment' gets Heartland's Best Narrative Feature prize
Stephen Komandarev's "The Judgment" got the Best Narrative Feature prize from this year's Heartland Film Festival.
Komandarev has also thrown his film's hat into the Academy Awards ring, so that it can hopefully win the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar.
Some other big winners at this year's Heartland Film Festival were "Romeo is Bleeding" and "The Way of the Tea." The former took the Best Documentary Feature prize while the latter got the Best Narrative Short award. "The 100 Years Show" got the Best Documentary Short title.
Moviegoers also able to vote for their favorite movies, and those movies were given prizes as well:
"Marie's Story" was given the Audience Choice Narrative Feature prize. "dream/killer" was given the Audience Choice Documentary Feature prize. "Moving On" was given the Audience Choice Narrative Short Prize. "Teen Press" was given the Audience Choice Documentary Short prize.
