Vin Diesel will be back for 'xXx 3'

Vin Diesel will be back for "xXx 3."

In the original "xXx" film, Diesel played Xander Cage, an extreme sports athlete who became a government spy. An Ice Cube-starring sequel, "xXx: State of the Union," went ahead without Diesel and earned nearly 75% less than the original worldwide. (Plus, that movie said Cage had been assassinated on an unseen mission, so screenwriters will have to walk that back.)

Vin Diesel will officially step back into Xander's shoes when he starts making the movie in December.
