“intergalactic skank helmet“

Is there an amount of money I could pay you to stop saying derogatory or sexist things about women in movies you watch?

Never say the word skank again. You’re a grown man.

Thanks for the response. I did think about this while writing late last night. Maybe skank isn't the right word as it has sexual connotations, though I certainly think it's less egregious than other terms. I was trying to capture a description for a wastrel woman without an anchor or redeeming qualities. She doesn't care about others or about herself. If you can suggest a better term, I pledge to swap it out.

So you describe her hair as a “skank helmet” which to me implies that she has hair like a biker chick, or hair that has been under a helmet, which I guess in your world makes her “easy” or a “skank” (a word only used by 8th-grade girls but I digress).

Now you’re saying that women with hair like that have no foundation or redeeming qualities. That’s not the same thing. One is a poorly defined and explained physical characteristic, and the other speaks to her character. Are you saying that women’s hair define their character?

You’re supposed to be a writer. Words are supposed to convey meaning, what is it that you’re trying to say?

Because from where I’m sitting, it seems like you create opportunities to take digs at women’s physical descriptions.
